I joined paid survey companies in the past.
However, I never made it to actually being paid out.
The thing is that I didn't have the patience. Surveys can be as long as 30 minutes were your sitting at the computer answering what feels like to be endless questions.\
Sometimes the pay for these long questionnaires can be worth, while most times it's just for pennies.

Understanding Survey Panels and Why They Exist
Starting off, I want to clarify that survey panels are legit. They serve a very valuable purpose in todays ecommerce world. Truth is that your opinion could affect what you see or don't see in stores.
Companies will reach out to websites like SwagBucks, Survey Junkie, Inbox Dollars and other panels to get connected with consumers aka us.
They give these companies money for hosting their questionnaire. They split this money and offer these questionnaires as an incentive.
For the most part, survey panels are legit.
However, you will see companies that don't pay or they ask you to pay to take surveys.
This is not good. Having the knowledge on legit survey companies is important.
Moving forward.
Can You Really Make Money Taking Surveys?
Of course.
No your not going to get rich.
However, there are some survey panels that hard to get into that offer really lucrative earning opportunities. These companies usually send you free products and can pay up to $50 per survey.
For instance, Pinecone research is one of those panels. Not many people have luck getting into their program but if you do somehow get accepted, your going to earn some pretty descent cash.
Other sites you can expect up to $0.25-$0.50 per survey. It's not much but it can add up.
So, should you join a survey company?
It's not something I find myself wanting to participate in. For me, I know better ways to spend my time online. You can spend the same amount of time doing surveys, building a business. So naturally it doesn't make sense for me.
Now, if your into this type of thing, go for it.
But I don't recommend it unless you can get into one of the better paying survey websites.
